Evident from meeting after Newport that board had lost confidence in Nolan but felt they owed him Lincoln game.
Performance more than the result at Lincoln was the factor.
Nolan wasn't the same Kevin Nolan that came into the club during pre-season.
5 that came in summer were all Nolans choices. He didn't want to sign any defenders.
Kewell - plays sort of game that Hardy wants to see Notts play, brilliant coach, won't divulge compensation sum,
20,000 miles on his car this week, 8 managers interviewed, Bowyer impressive but not ready to come back.
Lost directors. John has been friends for 15 years and also close to Nolan and felt awkward, important friendships stayed in tact but Hardy not happy about the twitter post he made, Fletcher (who was helping with recruitment) has a lot of other commitments. Harry Kewell was top of Fletchers list so that's not why he went.
Hardy made a lot of contacts in football since becoming chairman.
Sunday 10am announcement for technical director.
Paul Hart no.1 academy manager in the country, Paul's a great guy but he's at Luton.
Loan players who didn't sign at last minute circumstances changed, one players wife having baby, another to Championship, it was a bad Friday. Didn't want to bring in players for the sake of it, talking to players out of contract next week.
20,000 miles? That's travelling at around 120mph constant!

I wonder if Kewell is sitting there thinking 'what the hell have I signed up to?' Shots on target is only 2-1 to FGR but attempts at goal are 7-2 in favour of FGR. Nolan, (hic), you left us with a mountain to climb.

What an excuse Jones is as a footballer, how the hell does he keep his place?

At fault for the FGR goal in my opinion for being out of position and was warned a minute before the goal. Supposed to be a left back but left the FGR player completely unmarked on the left in the first instance so he could get a cross in to the box. Then moments later Jones was nowhere near the FGR player on the left and their player was clear in the box and slotted it home.

At the other end a cross into the box went to nobody.

He’s having a bad day and his confidence appears to have gone.

It’s is refreshing to see Milsom back in midfield and we have been better there. Still can’t get the ball to the feet of the strikers. Hemmings appears to be playing up front on his own with Dennis back a bit on the left and Enzio similar on the right so appears to be more a 4-5-1.

Edit - No Notts players warming up during half time so maybe they have all been summoned to the changing room? Perhaps Harry Kewell has gone to have a word?

Those of us who remembered Jones from the Munto days warned he wasn't up to much, but some people weren't having it. Nolan had 3 full windows to sort out this defence. Mind you, there is a replacement for Jones sitting on the bench.

He's done half the job. Will Crossley bring Kellet on now, or is he a rabbit caught in the headlights?

Falls on his own sword. The honourable way out.
