    O/T Why the hell not?

    What’s the harm?

    https://www.rotherhamadvertiser.co.u...-bid_30758.htm

Isn’t the suggestion not politically correct enough?

Sometimes I think the councillors live on a different planet to the rest of us.

As suggested on Previous thread the Fanzone area at NYS should be re-named the Chuckle Fan Zone
They could having passing practise with the kids before games "To Me - To You"

RMBC should have a re-think but that's not in their make up I'm afraid

Shaun from the North East said 'it would bring a lot of curious people to the town'. Really! What planet is he on.

Just like the . Boaty Mc boat face.
    Which won by popular demand.
And was kicked out by a humourless bell end.

No Chuckle Square but we can have "twinned with St Quenten" on the Rotherham boundary signs

Even when most Rotherham folk think it's where the jail is.

St Quentin is a town in Northern France and is a really nice place to visit. They have over the years linked with sporting clubs from Rotherham and friendships have been made. I have been on a few occasions and the people are great. The very least that the twinning has done is that it has broken any stereotypes that may have been harboured by people on both sides.

So the council picked a nice place to have a jolly boys outing?

Sorry but I remain unconvinced that this twinning arrangement brings any significant benefit to Rotherham
