    Aye, read that as well.

Could all be bollocks but it all fits...Ashley isn't going to do a 180 and suddenly start to spend and this fella at Lyon sold alll his best players and made a massive profit on transfers.

Got to take all reporting with a pinch of salt, especially as the fat controller allows nothing out of the club except his occasional PR stunts full of lies.

But...it wouldn't surprise me. I really don't think Ashley is going to change enough to allow Rafa to take the club forward and Rafa has enough integrity to walk because of it.

Who knows what to believe about these stories but I still think Rafa will stay.

We're always treated to all kinds of speculation by media and we all speculate ourselves on what's the percentage of feasibility for various outcomes.

At best it keeps interest. At worst it creates massive conflict.
One thing none of us are in charge of, is who stays or goes, or who's brought in, whether it's a player or a coach/manager.
We can all say that we won't spend this and that, or, we will sell this and that but there's no certainty in either way.
The word for long enough was about breaking the transfer record with many saying we wouldn't break it and would likely sell more assets.
    Look what happened.

The way I see it is, Rafa has every chance of signing on. Rafa also has every chance of adding to the squad.
Then there's, Rafa may not sign on. Ashley may opt for another manager.

50/50 all the way but we can and do make our own odds up based on what each of us think as individuals or as a collective by following a (most times) mainstream media narrative.

However, this guy does seem to fit the bill of what Ashley might want. I'm also not at all convinced he'll change enough for Rafa to stay.

I really hope he gives Rafa enough to stay though.

Or..most of us go on past experience!
We haven't even broken our transfer record YET...and 20M is not a lot for a top flight player these days. We don't really have players of value to sell anymore because we have already moved them on.

And there's that little bit at the end trying to suggest you are more insightful because you like to disagree.

    Seriously...

It would be remiss of the club,if they weren't looking at replacements just in case Rafa goes.

By the same token though,I would eat my own sh!te,if there was any forward planning/thinking being conducted by the fat cnut and Penfold..
