In light of Man City getting punished I found this an interesting read. Surely it has to work both ways.

Aye a good read.
There should be some punishment but there never will be as it would open up what is "asset stripping", what one group say is, someone else wouldn't for example.
Would make a lot sporting lawyers a lot of money though.
I still maintain that there is no chance that City will actually miss out on CL though.
Ironic really. Man City trying to pump money into their club. Ashley trying to get money out of ours.
is there are sum or something that says if yu spend x you will get x back or if you spend x you will achieve x
people keep whinging about the state of the ground
firstly do any go to it that moan
secondly does ash own the ground ??if your a tennant surely the landlord maintains the building ,yes you have to keep it clean and tidy but maintain it ?
they insinuate he sold land for flats what land
if he had spent say another 40 mill a season what guarantee do you have we would be any higher or beter than we are now
what if we brought another joelinton for the past 5-6 seasons
football is a gamble
you can spend very little and win a cup or indeed the league
you can spend loads and et relegated
why everyone gets fixated on if you spend you achieve xyz
city have exploited the rules
they have beenn caught allegedly
they might win their appeal lets hope so i like their brand of footy i like what they have done around the ground etc
but their greed to win and achieve could see them wiped out
for what
a couple of cups and a coupleof years of glory
footy is full of plastic footy fans
all on forums and in pubs with their current teams tops on
but when it all goes wrong they move on
moan about the good old days that never were
someties what you have is as good as you deserve or get
sometimes what you have is a lot better than others have
sometimes what you have others wish they had
their are a load of true fans that would love what we have abd where we are
but there will always be plastics telling anyone that listens that we arent doing it right
keep up with the news please
"Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley has sold a prime plot of land in the shadow of St James’ Park to developers who will now transform it in a £120m mixed-use scheme.
Planning permission was granted last year to transform the car park at Strawberry Place and create 115,000 sq ft of office space, 162 residential apartments and accommodation for 420 students in moves which will lead to the repositioning of St James’ Metro Station.
The planned development had proved unpopular with some Newcastle United fans, who said it prevented any future expansion of the club’s ground."
The land under the stadium is rented. The stadium is owned by the club (i.e. Ashley).
The owner of PSG has done the same getting PSG huge sponsorship deals through the Kuwaiti government.
Barca and Real Madrid get Spanish government hand outs in Spanish government owned and connected companies for huge sponsorship deals. Plus they get more tv money.
If anybody ever buys Nufc they will not be able to pay for Players, Stadium and training ground improvments, And then spending Millions in court cases trying to untangle Nufc finances from SD.
Plus SD get most of the profit from Nufc Strips and other merchandise.
