I won't do a match report as its passed now anyway, and lets be honest it was just Bradford. I only live in Wakefield so its easy for me to get to Bradford, so I had a wander down to have a watch.

They are only a Div 2 side so nothing much to gage. I thought we played well and were professional in how we went about it. Very young side, and we have some very good young players.

One lad is head and shoulders better than anyone, for us or for them. Morton, 19 on-loan from Liverpool. He had to play him massively out of position at CH and he was so good. Always has time, never flustered, always gives the ball to his own players, always forward. He will start tomorrow vrs Stoke and I would be looking to keep him that side. I feel Buckley and Travis got overrun by Sheff Utd and Reading. I would not drop either, but I would add this lad in to help. If that means dropping Hedges or Szmodics then we may have to do that.

I mainly went to have a look at Dack with my own eyes and make my own opinion. Bradley Dack is so scared of getting injured (one more big hit on either knee and its career over) he looks to get rid of the ball immediately. What he used to do was beat his man, then look to play the ball. Now he just looks to off-load straight away. That's a massive change in his game. He is getting fitter, he is improving. If he can't perform to the same ability as before its such a shame. As he still shows moments of brilliance. And as he has a decent touch, he can shift the ball well with once good touch. But in the Champ he will need more than that to shine. So I fear for his future. But its a slow process and hopefully he gets stronger and more confident. I don't blame him for any of this, how he is **** scared of getting smashed again. It was bound to happen that caution played a part. But if any footballer even drops his level by 4 or 5% even they are no longer the same player. I think by the end of this season we will know if he is going to be to stay here and carry on or if he may need to step back down.
