Owners:
Ipswich have been transformed under the ownership of Gamechanger 20 Ltd, who bought the club from unpopular former owner Marcus Evans for £40 million in 2021.They play at Portman Road 29,763 stadia with the Tractor Boys nickname & have an exceptional left-back! 🤐

The main owner of the club is ORG, an American investment fund who "manage funds on behalf of large US pension pot Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System who own 90% of Gamechanger 20 Ltd".

Edward Schwartz co-founded the organisation in 1999 & is the ORG Rep for the club while Brett Johnson, Berke Bakay & Mark Detmer (who enjoyed success prior with Pheonix Rising FC) also form part of the board now.
Gamechanger 20 Ltd worth in April 2021 was reported by Chief Investment Officer for the Arizona PSPRS Trust fund as $13 billion (£10.2b) & holding of $700m (£552m) in cash".

The group wiped Ipswich's debts of around £100 million when they took over so they have significant financial resources to continue to progress the club.🙁

Coach:
Kieran McKenna has been in charge of Ipswich since Dec 2021, having departed Man Utd where he worked as team coach under Mourinho & he plays a 4-2-3-1 with the ball using an "inverted winger" on the left & on the right a deeper wider winger who plays to reach the last line with penetrating carrying runs.

Captain Sam Morsy & Massimo Luongo have been the anchors in midfield allowing the likes of Broadhead & Conor Chaplin the freedom to rove around in support of George Hirst up front.

Ipswich’s key creator is Leif Davis.
He has assisted 9 goals in 22 matches so far in the Championship this season.
Davis passes the ball roughly 37.09 times during a game with a pass completion rate of 78.12%. He also plays 3.13 key passes each game which leads to significant scoring chances.
This stat puts him above 99 percent of the players in the Championship!
As a Defender, Leif Davis has conceded 24 goals and kept 6 clean sheets in 21 matches in the Championship 2023/2024 season. That means when Davis is on the pitch his team conceded a goal every 77 mins.

The Blues are understood to have paid a "seven-figure" fee for him from Leeds, outbidding some top end Championship clubs to land their man whilst still a L1 club back in July 2022.
If future add-ons are hit, the deal has the potential to become a record amount paid by a League 1 club for a defender.

History of Ipswich ?
Ipswich is a town - not a city & is one of England's oldest towns & traditionally had a strong agriculture farming bias.
From 14th/17th centuries Ipswich developed its Port for imports/exports to the Baltic, shipping whetstones, millstones & wool.

In 1600's it was a major centre for emigration to New England. This was encouraged by the town Lecturer, Samuel Ward & his brother Nathaniel the first minister of Ipswich, Massachusetts. Ipswich was also one of the main ports of embarkation for puritans leaving other East Anglian towns & villages for Massachusetts Bay Colony during the 1630s.

By 1800 its Port boomed via shipbuilding alongside trading leather & its many malting-brewing industries.
It was heavily bombed by German Zeppelins in WW1 & bombed again in WW2 devastating areas around the docks. Today the regeneration of that area has made it the town hub of culture with fine dining restaurants, shops, hotels & the new Regional University & its still a working port.

Famous painter Thomas Gainsborough lived & worked in Ipswich & the world's first commercial lawnmower was invented by Ransomes of the town in 1830.
