These owners did not take over the leadership of the club from Patrick Cryne - they were only part of the board of directors.
Chien Lee being the major shareholder put Conway in total charge of the club.

We didn’t know exactly when it happened - but the board split into two groups.
Lee / Conway.
Neerav / JAQ / Crynes

When an option came available to do so the Neerav group wrestled the club away from Lee and Conway.

IMO - Khaled (a Conway appointment) has been responsible for many of the every day running and mistakes at the club. Things like:
West Stand
Replica shirts
FA Cup
The Collins appointment
Etc etc.

These were all done under Khaled.
I don’t think Khaled just left the club - I think he was shown the door - as in ‘find another job’.

There wasn’t much sorrow expressed by the club when he left.
And when he did leave the club, his job was split into two positions.
Obviously the board believing that all the mistakes that were being made was a result of too much responsibility for just one person to deal with.
So they appointed a new CEO and also appointed a DoF.

Supporters have to understand that yes - Neerav, JAQ and the Crynes are not football people that have been involved in the game from an early age.
But how many directors of football clubs have?
In the case of Neerav and JAQ they have bought shares in the club - become fans - and then found themselves actually running the club.
Like most of us fans they are just fans.

It’s important to remember that Neerav and JAQ live in foreign countries and they employ people at Oakwell to actually run the club.
