Some interesting stuff
Revenue up from 46M to almost 90M, of this broadcasting rev up from 20M to 52M,
turnstiles up from 13M to 18M.
next year broadcasting share of revenue will be even higher, hence keeping television companies happy will be even more important than fans. Our influence is only going one way, we'd better get used to it.
player wages up from 35M to 49M
nicked from WHTID..
straying a tad i know but all things money
when the recent West Ham company accounts were published it showed an outstanding bank debt of Ai44m in 2013. The re-financing of that debt on 1st July last year appears to have reduced the current bank debt from Ai44m to Ai32m not including the Ai5m short term season pay day loan from Vibrac. The new refinancing deal was secured as a mortgage against the Boleyn Ground and the other freehold land held by the club. The terms of the new loans are the bank debts need to be paid off or refinanced by the end of 2016. Interestingly the new bankers ared as CB Holding ehf and David Sullivan replacing the previous syndicate of five banks from the Icelandic days.
I can exclusive reveal the terms of the re-financing deal for the first time.
In May/June 2013 David Sullivan bought a further 25% of the shares in the club from CB holdings on condition they used the money David paid them to loan back to the club to replace the
I am no accountant but would be interested in the opinion of those who know better!
It seems to me that we have just had a 45million debt added as money we, our club, now owe our owners. I suspect the debt free pledge means bank debt free only. Are our owners borrowing money secured on the club to buy the club.
Of course that is comparing Championship revenue to Premier League revenueOriginally Posted by dorsetdano
Wages up around 40%. Very cavalier.
Has performance equalled that?
I am guessing the wages increased 40% due to jump from Championship to Premier league, where the performances were vastly improved.Originally Posted by mikeveep
This season of course is a different matter.
my partner is an accountant...has been for over 20 years for a big company in the city..i asked her to take a browse at this...she reckons the club is in quite a healthy state compared to where it was before G and S took over..she looked into other clubs accounts (which is easy to do) and i was amazed when she said our club is in a better state than many others in the premiership...some clubs that are also "much bigger"..so maybe we should know what we are talking about before we slate our owners,as we are in better shape than we have been for many a year,Originally Posted by only1salty
