Charlton continue to surprise with an encouraging start to the new season with a new manager and many new players and earning a good win against Wigan, spurred on by their excellent win over Colchester in the Capital One Cup.

Jordan Cousins excelling in his midfielder role, started proceedings early on 8 minutes with a superb strike in the top corner of goal from Johann Gudmundsson's pass.

Wigan then equalised courtesy of Callum McManaman who scored from a left footed effort on 22 minutes.

The teams entered the break 1-1 but the deadlock was broken for the Addicks on 90 minutes when Moussa secured all three points with a deflected shot beating goalkeeper Scott Carson in the third minute of injury time. It doesn't matter how they go on in as long as they go in and at this very early stage of the season the Addicks find themselves in 6th place in the league table. - view external link
