    Nouha Dicko And International Duty

I find it strange that he's been allowed to go on International duty with Mali, but deemed as a player not be risked at Derby on Saturday. He's probably not likely to start for his Country anyway, but being away means he may get called upon if needed.

A lot of things baffle me with Wolves at the moment Gav, stuff like this, plus we'll lose him and Sako to the ANC later in the season, and also why has Kenny suddenly lost faith with Scotty Golbourne who ran KMac close for player of the season last term and now can't get a sniff
We can't score and we're relying on Danny and Ebanks- Landell to shore things up at the back.
worrying times methinks, I'm kinda glad we're not playing Forest this Saturday and there is extra time to re group. I'll just be keeping my fingers crossed there are no more injuries with our International call-ups.

I think you'll find Golbourne has been injured in training or else I think he would have played the last couple of games. I certainly agree he is a far better back than those we have tried in that position. It is strange letting Dicko go but maybe he has something in his contract that allows him to make the decision if chosen despite the fact that we pay his wages.

Kenny Jackett did mention that Golbourne picked up an injury and has been ordered to take complete rest until after the international break.

You're probably right on the Dicko situation. - view external link

“Dicko has travelled with the Mali squad so he should be fit for Forest,” said head coach Kenny Jackett.
“He passed every fitness test on Friday but it was a bit of a risk putting him substitute (at Derby).
Hopefully both Dicko and Sako come back from International duty unscathed then. - view external link

Dicko didn't play and has come back early,Sako played in 2-0 defeat and they have to win today to stay in the competition.Dicko won't play on Saturday but I spoke to Golbourne at the youth match on Saturday and he said he was feeling good so I hope he's fit enough to play.

Wolves will now have to do without both Dicko and Sako for the Africa cup of nations if selected for the squad.
