    Great Debut for Christie

Started for Ireland tonight and played the whole game. Quiet enough first half with a few interceptions and throw ins (mainly because the play down the other flank). Good defensively throughout.
Started the 2nd half really well maybe given a license to push on a bit more and produced some really good runs and started some good attacking play. Crowd seemed to get behind him and got good applause when showing some neat footwork and bursts of pace forward into the USA half.
Irish pundits spoke well of him and were excited to have a player the caliber of Cyrus drafted into the squad.
Will be behind Seamus Coleman for selection at the min but will offer a great alternative in the Future.
Also McClaren got spoken of very highly during commentary and back (5 or 6 times) in the studio for his continued work with Derby's Irish trio.
A good result for Ireland with Jeff getting 10 mins at the end and Christie showing well on his debut.

Forgot to mention. Christie took a really heavy tackle from Altidore late on in the game. He got up wearily and played on but wondering if there any reaction to this.
No word on him being injured or dead leg I hope.

Not Christie who McClaren signed? That can't be the case because there are some posters who claim that McClaren hasn't improved the team that a certain manager built!!
