    Skills. There is a decided lack of skills from our players, sometimes.

    Sorry, the headline should read "Cookie, you call it class; I call it" - skills.

    Fitness first; skills, second. If we are only borderline on the fitness front, then we are decidedly below par on skills sometimes. At others, we do show that we have some tucked away in our brains. What we need to do is marry up feet with brains and try the simple approach: one touch rather than the current four; running into space to receive a pass; being able to head the ball properly in attack and defence; looking to support and yet not being afraid to challenge confidently.

    Surely, these are skills that serious footballers learn at mother's knee, not flounder around in their twenties trying to look big. You are only a cog in a wheel; the success of the team is paramount, not looking pretty for potential Soccer Scouts.

    Mansfield is the crunch test for me. Missing out on a good win there could be the difference between m

    Putting out a formation to try and score a home goal, so having hope of a home win, would be a massive step in the right direction for me. Forget tomorrow, although I have my seat booked, a week Sunday is what matters
