I have just got the shareholders letter through the letter box today. I get the feeling that we are quite reliant on cup runs to ease the cost of full time football. This is why the Albion Rovers result will go down as one of the worst and costly EVER. We showed a profit but ONLY because of income from player sales and the writing off of deferred grants. Running the club on an even keel remains a never ending challenge.

The BOD were in no rush to appoint a manager before the cup game putting their faith in JT to see us through.

If you are unsure about who to appoint and still looking who's available, you wouldn't rush.

Some clubs operate a Fans Forum, which is something of an official link between the club and supporters. The Forum is made up of representatives from different sections of the support - season ticket holders, youngsters, oap's etc. Along with a representative of the club itself. Anyone with any matters they want brought up contact a Forum member and it is brought up at the next meeting and discussed. Official club matters are not mentioned. Is this perhaps the way forward?

They had plenty of time to appoint a manager. Naysmith's appointment was rushed through once we were out.

This seems like a very sensible suggestion to me and could be the way ahead. Well said.

That's not to say they didn't have their eye on him or were not contacting him.

You can defend them if you want but I don't think they're doing a good job and I don't like the elitist attitude they have.

Very valid points JR and things do not look too good for this season as a result especially if you also consider the sharp drop in revenue from home gate receipts. The home gate average must be down by around 200-300 this season!

You don't think they're doing a good job ? If it wasn't for the current board we wouldn't have the Queens Arena , the 4G pitch and the King George V facility . These 3 brought in £100,000 in 2014/15 & £141,000 in 2015/16 . Not bad for something that was sitting empty for years eh ?
