A good day out in Burton, and then came the football! Burton deserved their victory, especially on their second half performance. Wolves have an habit down the years of being on the end of a former player scoring against them. Today it was no different. Michael Kightly received dogs abuse from a quite a few Wolves fans, he answered them with Burton's first, he looked the one most likely to score for the home side, had two decent efforts before his goal, fair play to him for his muted celebration. It was no surprise to me that Burton went on to win the game, another goal scored from close range with no one marking the scorer as the ball came in.

From a Wolves perspective, today's tactics was to lump it forward, the Burton Albion defence lapped it up every time. There was no creativity from a Wolves perspective and the ball was again giving away with ease. Helder Costa with a great penalty to give Wolves the lead, but barely showed up today, just like the majority of his team-mates. But for Carl Ikeme, the score could've been greater. The home side could easily have had a penalty in each half, the second one led to the equaliser.

A bad day at the office for Wolves.

We were dreadful, allowing ourselves to get dragged into a game of hoof ball. Burton had a central defender who stood about six feet ten and had the turning circle of a super- tanker. So what did we do? Hoof the ball to Dicho who cut a lonely frustrated figure. He couldn't buy a goal at the moment. We didn't try to pass the ball to feet and were lucky, no very lucky, to go in at half time one goal to the good. I stood about four yards away from the penalty and it was never a penalty in a month of Sundays.

I expected better in the second half, but by then Kites was running the show and it was no surprise that the home side got back into the game. Ikeme had already made two world class saves before his tap in. It was a relief to see him subbed. Our subs made very little difference and it was no surprise to see Burton get a deserved winner.

I fear the worst in the cup if Chelski turn up.

Can't understand the mentality of that performance today!

You could see how it was going and all Burton had to do what keep their line discipline, which they did, stopping us on the counter where we thrive!

Needed to play in to feet but it never happened. We lacked the class to play it like that today!

I think the point was around the printed words that he didn't say Gav.

I have switched the subtitles on and the words don't match up with what Lambert is saying, from the start 'emotional Liverpool game is what Lambert is saying, in the subtitles it's 'the emotional people gave me everything'. It carries on like this throughout. Cheers Gaz, i've never tried the subtitle function before.

I hope Burton stay up this season, but I doubt if they will.
They were one of the obvious favourites to go down even before a ball was kicked of course. And it remains to be seen whether Cloughie Jnr has made the right choice in staying with them instead of going to Notts Forest.

Played in to Burtons hands really, hoofing it to the midgets up top. JDB struggled against their giant centre backs too!

Ultimately Burton knew how to play on their tiny pitch and we lacked class!

Disappointing! although the hoofmeister himself may have a sneaky chuckle to himself tonight!

Nailed it there Bud, another great day out ruined by a game of Football!! Just texted ya mate.
