Well it's a good job it's all fiction with non of these people from both religions actually existing. Both of these religions are just further warped versions of the same religion anyways.

Patty, the point I was trying to make about selective texts can make any religion look like endorsing terrorism , child abuse etc.

I love it when the apologists in their desperation to defend Islam use the Mary angle.
Let's just go through a couple of things. Firstly, times move on. The legal age in our country is now 16. That is what we deem to be "okay" nowadays.
If 12 was deemed to be "okay" in AD 20 or whenever it was meant to be, 9 would probably be a bit young 700 years later.
But all of that doesn't matter anyway. Because, the very fact that Mary was able to conceive shows she had reached puberty. And as has been said, the age a girl was deemed to have reached adulthood back then seems to just be when a girl has her first period. Clearly Mary must have reached this age.
Not many 9 year olds have started having periods. And Aisha hadn't either. Only children are allowed to play with dolls in Islam, adults are forbidden from doing so. Aisha was still playing with dolls the first time Muhammad called her in to his bedroom for ***. This means she had not yet started having her periods, so even with the standards of the seventh century, she was a child and Muhammad was therefore a *****phile.
Muhammad was married to thir**** women, including eleven at one time. He relegated them to either consecutive days or (according to some accounts) all in one night. He had *** with a 9-year-old girl and married his adopted son's wife (after arranging a quick divorce). On top of that, Muhammad had a multitude of slave girls and concubines with whom he had *** - sometimes on the very days in which they watched their husbands and fathers die at the hands of his army.
So, by any realistic measure, the creator of the world's most ***ually restrictive religion was also one of the most ***ually indulgent characters in history. Quite ironic really.
And just like Henry VIII none of his sons lived to adulthood.
Not the only thing in common, lots of wives and mistresses (slaves in Mohammed's case), both started religious movements.
Both had their enemies' heads cut off, to be fair Henry VIII far surpassed Mohammed in that regard.

Blimey. The Islam nativity play must be something to see.
Have you all noticed who put this thread up and hasn't posted on it? ******
