According to DM we did try to buy Christie but Celtic wouldn't sell him. Fair enough but we didn't want to sell Hayes.
Am I the only one surprised that there was no pics from the first day of pre-season training anywhere to be seen?

Not as simple as that.
As DM alluded to in the Red TV interview, when Jonny signed a contract extension in January, we made a promise that we'd let him talk to clubs if they made a bid and if he was interested.
If we refused, we'd have had a p1ssed off player who's heart was elsewhere.
And by signing the contract in January, it meant we got an extra £500k in transfer fee.
Barrie McKay looks out of favour at Castle Greyskull. Worth a look?
We seem to be the only club who cares if we upset a player by not letting them go where they want, Im sure McInnes never promised Hayes he could move to Celtic at the end of the season. He wanted to go there but we should have told him unless Celtic sell us Christie then you will have to either stay here or go down to England, if he was that desperate to leave he could have went to England instead of us selling him to Celtic and helping them develop one of their players at the same time.
We just accept being the poor relations which is the annoying thing. Can't stand up to them on the pitch and we definitely don't stand up to them off it.
Better news, Fyvie once again making a bad career decision by turning down Hibs, then going back to them, being told to **** off and now signing for first Division Dundee United
They love a Dons reject.
Having a look at the players who have left and those who have come in, there is still a number of spaces available.
Now sure, some players may step up i.e. Harvie, but we surely have space for a few more signings
