    I get that he comes across as a nice guy, model professional and gave 100% every game but he was never ever a standout, he was poor mostly, sideways and backwards passing and his shooting was on par with most rugby players. Never achieved anything with us but still held in high regards? very very weird...

    We have aye loved a trier though...there's been a few over the years, someone not exactly a gifted footballer but always gives 100%.

    That is simply not the rules.
    Then he does exactly the same when a united player got hammered and required treatment????.
    During their warm up him and the main Stand linesman were constantly joking with each other , but neither spoke to the gf linesman.
    He then sends united coach to the stand for throwing the ball down.
    All in all he was trying to be mr players mate and lost the plot.
    Also in the 2nd half the gf linesman flagged Stanton offside when there ch was 9 yards in front of him.
    Conclusion
    We better get used to officials used to doing there job in front off 212 fans and finding themselves in front of the headlights
    Not a single player left the field of play after recieving treatment. Rules must've changed.

    Taken from Sky's website about rule changes for the season ahead;

    "If a player is fouled and hurt by an opponent who subsequently receives a yellow or red card for the challenge, the injured player may be quickly treated on the pitch without the need to leave the field of play.

    It was widely seen as unfair that a player injured by a serious foul was forced off the pitch for treatment, temporarily placing the fouled team at a numerical disadvantage."
