Surely a No manger is better than a bad manager?????
I'm for going after Nigel Pearson and his mate Shakespeare but not to do what we are complaining about and destroy the thread, I tend to look for positives one major positive was although we were a bit inferior to Swansea the 'Wand' unzipped them for the first goal evading all to find the net, something we haven't seen for a while a pinpoint corner kick to find a head for an easy nod in.
Back to the thread Shan might have been lucky versus Swans but made three changes for Brentford and held them first half and to his credit and I think it sometimes shows the ability of a decent manager, his half time talk must have been constructive because according to the reports Baggies ran the game in the second half quite comfortably, or as comfortable as a one goal lead allows, so until the board comes up with a serious candidate let James Shan keep on being lucky. He got the young team playing some decent football so maybe he will grow into the senior game, who knows?
2nd half we were very good on Saturday. In fact, we played intelligently and took the sting out of the game. It actually felt pretty comfortable even.
For me, I would have Jokanavic but if he is too expensive then I'd stick with Shan. I've never been too keen on Pearson..
I have to echo most of the comments about the Brentford game. In the second half we were totally comfortable and unlike almost every other game recently I felt totally relaxed regarding the result. It should be said that Hegazi yet again was I thought out best player. It can't be a coincidence that he was the man who generally was on the spot to clear the ball out the area when it fell to ground let alone in the air. Edwards' goal was a real bonus and he looked utterly at home. I thought Morrison a bit anonymous but perhaps he was doing a lot of hidden work running round marking etc. (according to Albionic!). It will be interesting to see whether this is a turning point or just another false dawn.
