This is why we don't need a European Super League

The clubs most desperate to see it happen will be from the weakest leagues, that's why I'd never be against Celtic and Rangers joining the Premier League because it would help ward that off. It would also make sense in this day and age to have a Scandanavian super league, Holland and Belgium could have have a lowlands super league. Switzerland/Austria/Hungary. Spain and Portugal could merge their leagues. Travel isn't an issue anymore and imaginary borders don't mean so much, but a pan European super league would be a disaster because, other than the title, what would the other clubs in the top half of the table be playing for? There's nothing to qualify for and you would also devalue the European Cup/Champions League.

It's a shame so few people will have seen the game. It would serve those greedy *******s at UEFA right if it was Liverpool v Tottenham in the final and hardly anybody in the UK could watch.

But they have bought some very average players, like Sissoko, Wanyama and Lucas Moura. It's the wage structure that's killing Spurs, they can't afford the best.

Yeah and they’ve not bought a player since Moura in January 2018. That’s why the likes of Wanyana are starting and Llorente’s coming on.
