I agree that without any further additions, and with 2 or 3 first X1 players injured, the Finnish team will be a tricky tie to get through.

ah well, McGeouch wont be coming then .............

"Sunderland are looking for a transfer fee if they are to consider allowing Dylan McGeouch to depart this summer.

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes is keen to bring the former Celtic and Hibs man back to Scotland after a frustrating season with the League One side.

The Dons have until July 5 to bring new faces in for their Europa League opener and McInnes faces a headache with a lack of options in the middle of the park.

But the Northern Echo report the Black Cats would be reluctant to consider a loan deal, after activating a one-year extension to keep McGeouch until 2020.

Jack Ross could sanction a move but only if their is money on the table.

The Aberdeen board always look to back their manager but the new signings this summer have all been loans or free agents"

A different kind of player to McGeouch, and maybe similar in style to Lewis Ferguson....
but what would folks thoughts on Greg Docherty be
    tin hat on...

then again, he'd likely be a higher fee than McGeouch so a moot point probably.

I liked him at Hamilton and he's nowhere near the hun X1 and even further down the pecking order now that they've signed the new Socrates/Zico (delete where appropriate for Daily Retard hun journalist sycophancy) from Charlton

No word what size of a transfer fee they are after for McGeouch? Surely we have a bit in the kitty to stop us going in to europa with a weak midfield?

Here we are, June 28th and in the middle of an injury crisis already.

Ach well, we didn't need a midfield last season, just let the defence play it back and fore for a couple of minutes then launch it forward.

    It's what we're used to.

A modest fee for McGeouch would not be a deal breaker.

Does the player want to come up to aberdeen on a 3 or 4 year deal for more security but less money than his 1 year deal with Sunderland is the question?

A loan is probably the players preferred option

Oh well if a fee is involved for McGeoch then we can score that one out.

I think we should all pray Bryson is fit for the 1st leg as our midfield really is weak

Nae quite sure where this "we won't pay any fees for players this summer" (the insinuation being all the dosh is being spent on Kingsford) is coming from? If it took £200K to shift McGeouch from Sunderland, I'm sure we'd be able to accomodate that

Injury crisis? Two players, one of whom may make the 1st leg?

Commercial Union - We won't make a draama out of a crisis
