What do we need?

Assuming we get Helder Costa which all the signs are pointing towards, what else would you be wanting for us for next season (assuming nobody else of quality leaves)

Personally think we need another character who can play on the wing/attacking midfield role basically we need what we wanted Issy Brown to be last year in my opinion, Pablo is a year older and I doubt he can replicate the form he showed last year when he at times carried out attack by himself. I've no idea who we could get but I think that is a key position we need filling.

If we could get someone like that but someone of genuine quality then I'd be quite happy at this point. I'd like us to loan someone like Dwight Gayle but we know that won't happen.

I thought about central midfield but I'd like to see Shackleton in that position more often so wouldn't be worried if we didn't add anyone though if the rumours of interest in Forshaw are true I'd not be gutted to see him sold and replaced, I like him but think we need someone with a bit more quality to make that step to automatic promotion.

What do we need?

Gotta assume that Bielsa is going to stick to his 'small squad' mind-set. I think it was 18 first-teamers, to be supplemented by youngsters. Here's the possible 18?

GK - Casilla, Peacock-Farrell (Miazek)
RB – Ayling, (Dallas, Berardi)
LB – Douglas, Alioski (Davis)
CB - Jansson, Cooper, White, Berardi (Phillips, Ayling)
DM - Phillips, Forshaw
Box-Box - Klich, Shackleton
#10 - Hernandez (Roberts)
Wingers – ‘Costa’, Harrison, Clarke (Dallas, Hernandez, Alioski)
Strikers - Roofe, Bamford, Roberts (Edmondson)

So no room for additional first-teamers, especially as we've got some really good youngsters as cover…although I’d try and squeeze in the best #10 we can source (a replacement for Saiz). We have some cracking midfield youngsters coming through (Nicell, Gotts, McCalmot, Bogusz) but none of them are #10’s.
Other than that, I quite like the squad.

Not sure who I’d replace with better...especially as they all know the Bielsa system now, so any replacement would have to be top draw, and that would cost! Feels to me that the signing of Costa will be the final piece…and just before they head off ‘down-under’.
