Surely if each party is represented as remain or leave why be scared?

See the Tories are up to skullduggery in the Lords now : 99 chuffin amendments just to delay the bill. They are saying it will be Sat Afternoon till all done. Do they really think people are that stupid to fall for it? Why dunt Boris just gracefully accept the ERG are beaten, get off to Brussels and try to negotiate a deal everyone can agree on? Or could it be he knows that there is no deal that he can agree on that won't upset the far right in his party/ or indeed the country?

Lets face it Boris is a privileged rich right wing sh it. He only has the interest of the rich in this and always has. There are a lot of working class brexiteers on here who are too blind to see this.

That so completely not the point. Can't you see that Cummings plan is to :

    1. Get the house to agree an election for October
    2. Once agreed, the government simply use prerogative to change the date of the election to after 31st October
    3. Parliament would then be powerless to stop a no deal exit.

    Is that simple.

Happy for GE anytime after this date, on terms you suggest : tories representing no deal Brexit v everyone else.

Because if he gets a deal the mega rich don’t escape the impending EU large corporate tax clampdown

And how does he do that? What the commons have just done is akin to Rotherham United trying to sign a player who wants 50,000 a week wages and us offering him 5 grand a week! That deal would never get done and neither will Borris be able to get one done with nothing to offer the EU as an incentive to make a deal.

There are still ways that Boris can get a GE and both would be underhanded but not illegal. He could call a no confidence vote in the Gov because it has no majority or he could simply advise the queen to not give it Royal accent because it would undermine her Government in negotiations with the EU.

Labour have lost any chance of winning the election after choosing to stand as the remainparty".U turn" Corbyn, has been bribed in to changing his mind by the Islington champagne socialists.Tony Benn would be turning in his grave if he knew what his son was up to.

So tell the Queen that we need an election in mid October to get deal by mid October and then try and change the date til after no deal happens?

    Interesting concept.

Happy to go with mid October election date as long as there is no chance of it being changed

Such is the utter contempt that MPs have for the electorate that in tonight’s vote on a possible general election some of them didn’t even bother to vote.

    To$$ers all

He could tell the queen that we need an election in November because there would have to be an election campaign where parliament does not sit and the 31st of Oct would go by during a campaign. Simples.
