Absolutely gutting.
Must be churning out some serious wages to attract players of that calibre to the lower league

With McKinnon now added to the ever increasing list of managers sacked, Falkirk provide an example where more money alone does not bring success. Difficult to explain their demise considering the crowds that they regularly get but will a change of leader bring them back to the Championship then achieve the ambition to eventually return to the Premiership? Time will ultimately tell but their supporters must be getting really concerned at the clubs current lowly position.
With an average home crowd which is actually around 4000 and a crop of very decent players playing below their level, - Falkirk have proved that throwing money at the problem is not necessarily the solution in football.
jardi you could put a team of world beaters together in a team and thay would still play crap if thay wernt happy or uninterested ,with there squad there has to be something amiss at the club coaching /management /chairman or whatever that is making the players underperform ,that current falkirk team would canter our league if you kept the players in the right mood so the blaming the throwing of cash at it aint working is utter pish ,something needs sorted at falkirk it seems from the top down to clear it up .
Frances, you do make a very valid point that something isn't working at Falkirk and I'm sure a manager of the calibre of Jack Ross would sort out the malaise there.
However, I have to stress that the throwing of cash at the problem is not "utter pish" as you so delightfully put it, but is in fact more often than not actually true with most football clubs.
It's incredible though that this particular point reels you in every time.
Arrol please do not belittle anyone who has the misfortune to be claiming benefits. The old adage "there but for the grace of God go I" rings true for everyone.
That being said, every penny should be a prisoner for those of us in that position, - so it is difficult to comprehend spending more than the club can afford.
Anyway - enough said about that particular topic.
