If I can just get this thread back on track......
Greg Leigh out for two months and Bryson needs an operation, so surely that’s two areas that we’ll pinpoint in January.
Probably will consist of Tommie Hoban coming in and Considine to left back, and a Jeffrey Monakana type in midfield
Tommie Hoban would be a typical lazy McInnes signing. I would be wholeheartedly against it as whilst he is a decent player, he is far too injury prone due to having paper mache legs and would leave us just as exposed when he gets crocked early February after the window is closed.
No need to replace Bryson directly as he has basically not played for us since he signed. Much rather go and get a proper No 10 like a Christie type player (Monakana was a winger wasn't he?)
Hoban should be a keep clear sort of player but knowing our managers love of an injury prone wage thief I think the chances would be odds on he will here after the shutdown. No lessons learned from his previous time here or indeed our star midfield signings terrible record. Throwing away money to the gammy player fund will not see us reverse our fortunes.
Puns of that elk are tedious.
On topic...
Be interesting to see how we strengthen in January.
Our recent January window transfer record is sh1te.
A short-term for Hoban?
A loan from England to cover midfield?
Can’t imagine it’ll be anything too exciting?
Short-term thinking & cover more likely?
Why did we sign Bryson if he was injured?
We almost signed Maloney but it was him that pulled the plug because he wasn't fit.
Something not right there.
