Our Gareth has no backbone so he'll remain in the squad Malwayne.

Is it a requirement if you're a footballer you only receive a 'suspended' sentence? What a joke. If anyone else did that they'd be in a greek jail right now.

From what I read in the Torygraph the charges were carefully framed so that he would not have to go prison, he could be given a suspended sentence and given the bum's rush back to Blighty. I think Greece has enough problems on it's plate without having the England football captain rotting in one of it's jails. No doubt they're just glad to be rid.

Careful sinkov. you have just elevated him into taking the beloved Harry Kane's job!

Sorry Sub, didn't mean to upset Harry, I should have said Manchester United captain, probably carries just as much weight in Greece as England captain does.

The more I read about this and the more obvious it becomes that Maguire has been stitched up. Just fine the bugger on trumped up charges, and then we can wash our hands of him and get him on the next plane home, seems to have been the extent of Greek justice in this case.

Just like our justice system, it feckin stinks.
