    BBC threat

Saw an article today stating that the BBC have been sending people who have no TV licence (as they do not watch live TV, only stream and Youtube etc) that in order to watch Youtube etc you have to have a TV licence. It seems they have either changed the rules without telling anybody or they are lying. They must be getting increasingly worried as over 900,000 citizens have now cancelled their direct debits for paying the licence fee and I reckon this is a ploy to frighten people to start paying again. I really want to see the back of this corrupt organisation and their left wing bias OxBridge Guardian reading tw*ts who despise the ordinary working man. The quicker the people funding of this pile of sh*te is stopped the better in my opinion.

if you don’t watch live tv then legally you do not need a license. YouTube is not live TV neither is Netflix or most of Amazon Prime except live tennis and football etc

Although if you watch live tennis on Prine you need to have a license. So it’s a bit like buying the Telegraph newspaper and having to pay for the Daily Mail as well even though you didn’t buy it or plan to read it

85% of everything on tv you can legally watch on ITV / C4 / C5 catch up channels

You can’t watch iPlayer but most BBC content can be found elsewhere on line

Capita who do the chasing up of BBC licenses have been found wanting on numerous occasions where they come out with BS like this so ignore them

I cancelled my license as I no longer choose to see my money going to wan*ers like Lineker and their bias is sh*t. Just my opinion 😀

Odd thing is I have to pay for a licence but some of the BBC’s content is not available to me as they say I reside outside of the UK. It is a little strange whereby I am required by law to have a licence, and yet, I am not provided with the full service.

In a sentence, the BBC do what the BBC like. At the end of the day, I don’t really mind paying the fee as it provides me with tv, radio and online services and I don’t pay for Sky etc. which is an absolute total rip off.

It would be better to scrap the licence and introduce adverts to the BBC.

I don’t have a problem with the TV Licence method of funding the BBC, per se, the perceived problem lies with the people at the top of the organisation that dictate policy. In that respect, it’s a bit like which side of the political fence you sit. Remember, though, that there is a great deal of very good programming that is produced or commissioned by the BBC; yes, there are some serious issues that many of us feel should be addressed but as Joni once wrote, “....you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone”!
