Potential slip ups for the Argyle

Just looking at the remaining fixtures and noticed that Plymouth have Exeter and Bristol Rovers to play. These are great levelling matches and after my younger years in Cornwall watching Plymouth in local derbys it wouldn't surprise me to see them come out with zero points. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

The one thing I do know is that we can't control what our rivals are doing .

That said Plymouth have occupied the automatic promotion spots since September , 38 weeks .

Yet we've almost reigned them in but not quite .

If you offered me the chance of automatic promotion on the last day of the season but out of our hands I would take that right now .

Its true that derbies can bring out the best and sometimes the worst of some teams. Even if they have apparently nothing to play for. So hopefully Plymouth won't have it easy in those remaining matches.
But as Forest Green proved recently when they roasted Pork Belly Fc, its not always a local derby that proves to be a problem. 😏

I’ve always thought Plymouth were riding on the wave of a good start n they’d run out of gas
Fair play they’re still sticking in theer wi an impressive points tally
    They’ll fall short trust me
Can we be the team to grab their position off them or Ipswich?
    An engrossing finale awaits

They have a history of bottling it in league one and reading their forum those wounds are starting to appear , they bottled it last season too .

They see us as one of the league one promotion specialists .

In the grand scheme of things it probably amounts to shyte .

What happened in the past isn't really relevant and it's all about the NOW .

Which ever two clubs are automatically promoted it will be because over 46 Games they were better than the four clubs who finished beneath them .

It really is that simple .

Plymouth play no one in the top nine in their run in final eight games.

They play six mid table teams--Lincoln, Exeter, Shrewsbury, Bristol Rov Port Vale and Burton-- and two relegation threatened teams--Morecambe and Cambridge.

It is down to them and if the mid table teams are up for it on the day. Five wins from these last eight games will see them on 95 pts.
