Seems to have done OK for Sooty in L2, 5 in 35, 21-22 and 6 in 38, 22-23. 6ft 1ins so a decent height. They did release him though.

Does say in the Notts press release that we'd tried to sign him earlier in the year though, so could just be that the player made it clear that it wasn't worth their while offering another contract as he was on his bike.

Take a stroll up the road. Regular trains to a nice modern stadium and a crowd that appreciates those who give everything for their club.

That seems like poor business from Sutton there if that's the case

Maybe it was a lack of money thing, or he considered signing for us more attractive and praps better paid.

Apparently we're interested in Jordan Smith too.

They were in the hunt for a play off spot most of the season until a horror show of a run in saw them take only 4 points from their last 11 games and fall right out of contention and into mid-table, so there may have been method in their madness at the time.

Similar to us hoping to resist a move for Wootton last January.

Just looking at our defensive options I'd like to add another name. Joe Low at Bristol City, think his contract might be up and no mention of a renewal yet. Was on loan at Walsall last season and Eastleigh season before that. A good solid CB who can also play in a back 3. Not afraid to progress the ball much like KC and AB so would make a decent addition. Might have to be a loan unless Bristol City were happy to let him go. Worth a look.
