I’m not a wiki fan or expert. Not surprised.
I wanted to find out when he came and found links which suggest a bust up. That’s football.
Anyhow, came 2019.
We had the chap before that working remotely.
Signings since on the whole improved.
I personally think he finds the types he is asked to find….
And the “committee” PW quote was accurate.
I would suggest those within that know football, ask for, they are found, and then money men negotiate everything thereafter. In and outs.
That part always seems badly done…ins and outs. Unless it’s a player and agents thing (and can they all be wrong uns) then our running of things does seem the issue.
I am quite fearful of this supposedly sticking plaster DOF, head coach….etc, that they can come up with.
For me the main point of the Stubbs comments wasn't so much about being crap at negotiating but the opinion that we were behind in the race in identifying potential signings, testing the waters and knowing what we wanted in the first place
Like going to a car boot sale not knowing what you want and getting there 10 minutes before it closes
If Stubbs is so good why hasn’t he shown his genius and been a rip roaring success somewhere else?
Just a bitter and twisted fool blaming everyone else for his many shortcomings as a football manager.
Where is he now? No one wants him. And there's a good reason for that. Stewart's biggest sin is his inability to pick decent managers
Nope we could have had the best recruitment team in the football league, the most professional chairman possible and a training facility Real Madrid would have been proud to call their own and Stubbs would still have failed as a football manager.
Losers blame others for their failures, winners don’t.
