Our performances without injuries vs those with injuries

Interesting comments made on the radio today. Unable to verify, but the statement was that we played better and had better results, when injuries provided that ‘the team picked itself’. The inference being with a virtually fully fit squad, Carlos would inevitably swap around the starting eleven. Maybe unfairly criticised as ‘tinkering’
Difficult to substantiate, but it seems to be true ?

All I know is we have in my opinion over achieved this season and hugely exceeded my expectations. I thought we would do well to keep out of the relegation dog fight that inevitably occurs towards the end of the season. To get into the play offs with the catalogue of injuries we have suffered is quite amazing. We have done it going practically all season without a proven goal scorer.

Had we blown the play off position with such a point league - I would have said overall the it had been disappointing. We didn’t and have a play off place and now my view is the season has been a success regardless of the Southampton results to come. If we give them a tough game then that’s all you can ask. A lot depends on the home match and we need to take our chances.

The performance pleased me more than anything today and Preston were up for it!

I think people have said that because the last few results and performances haven't been great, although we have had more players available CC has had to try and manage certain player playing time as players like Reach, Phillips and Maja have all come back from long term injuries and Yok and Mowatt had played a lot of games, i think todays starting 11 is probably the best that is currently fit at the moment although i wouldn't be surprised if we play an extra midfielder against Southampton.
