Thread: Europe and the League

    Europe and the League

Just been working it out because of this result..

So if we finish 6th and Man U finish 7th or 8th but win the FA Cup we only get Confrence League..

That's because the 2nd Europa spot goes to the team that wins the FA Cup unless that team is already in Europe..

Confrence goes to Carabao Cup winner but Liverpool will be in CL..

So even if we finish 6th it's still all on Man City to do us a favour in the Cup final

    It's a pickle of a situation indeed.

However, from my knowledge I think you've summed it up correctly.

Man City could play their youth team and win the FA cup.

After going out of the Champions League they will be hungry to ensure they do the league cup double and maintain their winning traditions.

Only way they lose that match is if the Refs win it for them.

No way Ten Pence has the tactical ability to compete, man for man not a single Red player would get into the City squad. I don't even think there is many would make our first team. Garnacho possibly, but verses Barnes or Gordon he'd be on the bench at best.

Antony would even get a job cutting oranges let along feature ahead of Miggy or Murphy. £86m well spent hahaha
