There's several sources linking us to Southend lad Harry Cardwell.

Personally, I can't see this? His record in the NL is not exactly "awe inspiring". Can't see him stepping up to League One and then suddenly being able to compete with our existing front line?

I'd say we need a total of 6 in. Three CBs, Two at RWB and one at LWB - assuming we play with wingbacks which we certainly should.

We tried for Byers on loan last January and he turned us down for a L1 club and one that was a lot further away.
So I can’t see that happening unless SE can work his powers of persuasion

That’s my understanding also - is it a risk we can afford especially as his wages wouldn’t be cheap?
