"I would be amazed if a move happens in the next few days. Things have been pretty slow with this.

"When you're talking about loans, you've got to get the player onside, the agent onside and the parent club onside, Plus, obviously, it has to be the right deal for us.

"There are a lot of things that have to happen before the deal is made."

That is great to communicate it helps us see the complexity, however if we want another forward in even before the injuries and we know we are light, why are we only looking at a loan signing? Surely we intended to sign a player anyway and now the loan conversation is in addition to that, it is difficult to see how we can argue we are really investing in the team ahead of the campaign, when we have not even tried to make a bid for a striker from another club only recruited out of contract players, we did lose our two top goal scorers in the summer??

How do you know we haven't bid for a striker at another club?

We know what you think on this gru, for heaven's sake. You've said it so many times and understand your pov, whether we agree with it or not. There's nothing to gain with saying the same thing over and over again surely? Same with Hull. We get your views, please stop repeating them.

Because when I player is bid for, it gets out. People in the other club leak it or the players agent does to start a bidding process

Just a suggestion how we could have kept Lonwijk.

Still waiting for a positive post derby. Do you find it difficult or do you take positives from all the negatives.

Maybe he realises that two negatives make a positive

PW isn't keeping Wood for sentimental reasons. He believes that he can play a part. You believe a player you haven't seen play is a better option, okay. Either way, the manager disagrees and we have enough players for that position without overdoing it.

Why is only buying players for transfer fees considered investing by some?

For example, if you don't buy someone for 520k you can have a surplus of 10k a week to use on one or more players who are free or on loan. And then wages / extra fees on top but we will leave that out for ease. You may then have an extra 3k a week to get a loan signing you really want and then maybe 7k a week on a free signing you wouldn't otherwise be able to afford. Purely hypothetical but you get the idea. Investing in the team is not just buying players from other teams.

So no, it isn't hard to argue that TS is investing.
