Ok, thats not enough to be competitive for a season, and it has some suspensions/injuries, but that's not to say 3/4 of the players themselves aren't good enough.

I'd agree on the "doing it on the cheap" but with this and previous owners, thats just how it is. Dudds did it, Bournemouth did it (admittedly some time ago now), and yes there might have been a little bit more spent that in our case, but its not that material.

I honestly do think that someone who can motivate, week in, week out, who is a hard task master but an honest inspirational one, can make a huge difference to the performance of even the most average player, even if for only a limited amount of time. Whether Heck is that person we will see.
B loody hell mate - I could have written that!
Burnley is another example of how it can work with a relatively unknown - but talented hungry manager - given sufficient resources.

Too soon to say but as everyone else agrees - give the guy a chance - he's in reality got a 16 week interview.

we are simply doing what we have done for years , passing the buck on to somebody else to try to work miracles with a bunch of players who are simply not up to scratch , because the owners are too tight fisted to bring real quality players in to the club. that is the only way promotion will ever be achieved .

trying to go up on the cheap is a futile exercise and as is a failed and tried and tested policy attempted by every manager we have had since relegation from the premier league since 2004
Our performances have ranged from world beaters to crap, so many have something if not consistency. Getting them to run through walls on a regular basis with a good worth ethic will be a start... that and staying with 11 on the pitch, our discipline problem has to be rooted within the managers/team relationship.

Can't really object can I? after all, the club is doing something I approve of (although not in the nest of circumstances!), for once!

It could all go horribly wrong, but I remember when Wise arrived, hardly a welcome addition, but just look at what happened for the first half of the following season! Siege mentality works, sometimes and for some periods of time, maybe now, for a while

the problem you fail to recognise is this club will continue to sell their best players on a regular basis, so we can never build on what we currently have at the club , it has gone on for years , if you do not get in the premier league within a couple of seasons the best players are gone , so you are having to start all over again.

it is a nigh on certainty come the summer both jansson and saiz will be picked of by clubs with far more financial muscle than leeds and radrizaani and co will not be able to resist making massive profits on their 3 million pound investments , neither will the players turn down the chance of trebling their wages . you only have to look at byram , wood , taylor recently to know it will happen all over again.

im afraid until promotion is achieved the chances of building a promotion winning team over more than a two year period are virtually zilch.

Under this regime and under MC, we have only sold players intent on going and at top prices, not as in the "first offer" past. All players have a price and will get their heads turned, Bale at Spuds, Ronaldo at Salford and if Real come calling for Kane, though his strong affection for the club it will be severely tested.
If the money is reinvested in the squad it's fair enough, it's the way of football now.

Sorry m8, I do recognise the problem, and not saying that appointing Heck is the panacea to all our ills, ,but.......

If this season Heck can get us to the playoffs (big if), then there is at least the possibility of getting through to the PL via that route, and in circumstances where the kind of horse trading you refer to can't happen until it's too late to stop us going up (and the PL riches on offer can support a team re-building summer).

If he doesn't manage that, (more likely), all bets are off and we could well be where you say, but lets see? Perhaps, even if we marginally miss out, but Heck proves to be that inspirational manager/coach we have been crying out for, some of the targets might decide to stick with us rather than warm the bench like Byram and Taylor have? Who knows?

The next 16 weeks are going to be interesting, and for the first time in a very long time (you ask everyone else who posts here!), I'm feeling quite optimistic (at least until Saturday afternoon!)

grasping at straws springs to mind lol or living in cloud cuckoo land lol if you think top six is achievable with this squad lol

that ship sailed weeks ago , in fact a few more defeats especially with the fixtures coming up and bottom six is far more of a reality .

we have hired a guy from a club who are lower in the league than leeds are one point of the relegation zone and you think he is the guy to take us forward lol

    get real fella lol

Don't think of us as selling club right now.

Don't consider Wood's leaving or Taylor quitting on us as "sales". Wood wanted premier football and we got 15 million for him. Taylor didn't even finish the season.

we kept all of our key players (now or future) including Jannson, Ayling, Berardi, Viera, Dallas, Hernandez and even Green until we benched him. we didn't get a chance at Bartley.

Fine to be a wind up merchant but put some facts in the wind up.

every player wants premier league football , thats why our best players move on because leeds have not been able to offer it in four**** years , you must be tired of making excuses every year , when the facts are staring you in the face .

if somebody offered you three times your salary somewhere else you would be off like a shot pal

saiz and jansson or anybody else for that matter are no different live in the real world for a change.
