Was there in with the Grimsby fans, they just seem to accept it, as if they expected it.

Reading through the thread, posters who weren't there were way too harsh. It was a good away performance. Listen to Hurst's interview, they put a lot of effort into stopping us playing - has a lot of respect for us.

Our style didn't really suit the smallish pitch, squeezed up play, and cramped atmosphere. But make no mistake, if we continue to play 3-5-2, JOB, and DKE at RWB, they are better than us and we wouldn't finish above them.

The switch to 4-2-3-1, with our poor performers off gave us the chance to be better than them. And we were on the balance of the second half.

Massive scenes of celebration from the players at the final whistle. They are really into it and up for it

Hilarious 🤣 apparently one of their fans has watched us 3 times this season apparently (20% of our matches) and we are rubbish and defensive... Grimsby really do have absolute morons for fans, that's before I go on about their abuse of Notts players that was alleged to be either homophobic or racist in nature...

Good post. My first away game for quite a while. I thought we were pretty poor in the first half and a tad lucky to go in at half time level. Gotta say, I think the second half lineup is our strongest XI and the one that Burchnall will stick with if everyone’s fit.

I thought we looked a composed, competent outfit in the second half, which restricted a team that had won all their home games to very little. We kept in it and took our chance when it came. Great day out.

I hope so. IB said after Weymouth 'too many draws'... but picking 5 defenders and 5-3-2 will produce those 1 pointers, like it did against Weymouth, Torquay and Bromley. Without changing the system we would have lost today IMO. We're now 5pts off top spot with 30 games to go....in short, we're back in it. To keep pace, we'll need IB to pick a positive XI

They looked decent in possession to be fair but being the home team you'd expect them to create more chances
Notts worked their keeper more than Patto was worked
We didn't play well at all but i don't care if we're gonna snatch the points
This is what i have been telling people for ages, it does not matter about exciting or entertaining the football, what matters is whether you win, and we did today

Minimum we should be accepting is £300k but depending on the criteria above, RR could go for a lot more.

Post Covid, the transfer market has to change as Clubs don't have as much money to throw around and Clubs strategy will be to pick up these hidden gems like RR for less money than signing big name, experienced pros.

Luckily for us, we have FR and seem to be finding these gems earlier
