He's the manager, he has the final say. He's the problem
Players, most or whom are leaving and gutless, and staff who are best pals with the guy he replaced?
And people wonder why Csaba couldn't get this squad of ****ehouses to do better.
Ray was far too pally with the players. Going out drinking with them etc.
Csaba comes in and all of a sudden it's not a holiday camp anymore.
Tried to get the hard work out them and they went "**** that we like the easy life."
Csaba ain't the problem.
According to a post on another forum Csaba tried to show the players how much things mean to the supporters and they felt uncomfortable and then went ripping the piss and having a laugh about it.
Csaba ain't the issue.
He's the manager, he has the final say. He's the problem
It's the tactics and player selection he puts out before they cross the white line that pisses me off.
How many goals have we conceded from players switching off or making simple mistakes?
Thats not tactics, thats not selection. That is lack of concentration and a lack of desire.
And you just need to look at Csaba's reaction when those errors etc happen. He doesn't accept it. Not at all.
This thread seems to have spun off into a "Who is at fault, Csaba or the Players?"
Hypothetical question for anyone thinking this...
Assuming that all playing staff were the same, If we had Jack Ross and Csaba was at St Mirren...do you think Utd would have won the league?
i get where hes coming from CL cant be blamed for individual errors or players having lack of concentration and if its true that the players and even staff dont respect him or are taking the mick of out him then it makes it even more understandable how he couldnt get more out of the players. however.... some of signings and tactics have been shocking to say the least!
when he first came in. we played simple but effective football that teams couldnt deal with. in the early games we played some great stuff and DOMINATED games. there was attacking intent, movement and a desire to make things happen and to win the ball back.. we had intensity to attack and defend but then its like the falkirk game changed it all coupled with the loss of fyvie and fraser meant that the passing style we were playing was ditched. we went from looking very good to shocking in a few weeks. all confidence was lost within the team. we started trying to play a way that didnt suit us and suited any team we were playing. from that falkirk game onwards, we lost any direction of how to play and looked vulnerable to anything the opposition could throw at us.
CL isnt the only one to blame for us finishing 3rd and not getting promoted but hes had over half a season and a transfer window to get us up or in a better position to where we are now. he was brought in to get us up and we ended up finishing 3rd behind a decent but not great st mirren and an anti football livingston. thats just not acceptable. if there was more sign of him taking us forward then i would have been ok with him continuing next season but he cant be kept imo. like others have said an average manager would have got us up. we had a decent enough squad to achieve promotion but we looked lost and confused.
Whether what you say about the players and staff is true or not, Csaba was brought in to improve their performance.
He couldn't command their respect or motivate them enough to get us promoted from what is a relatively weak championship. Nor did he sign players who were talented/motivate enough to improve the situation. Moshni was from Luggy and Ralston was offered to us so he'd be fit for preseason.
Yes, he took a difficult job. But it was far from an impossible task. A good manager would have got us over the line this season by motivating the players who were already here and bringing in 3 or 4 more who could improve us.
Csaba did neither of those things.
