    so he didn't have the money to buy Airdrieonians but he had the money to buy Clydebank? Airdrie would have cost about 1p to buy, they had no assets, nothing. What they did have, was debt, and it's this that stopped Airdrie being bought. The same as it stopped Rangers being bought.

    When did Rangers play Hawick

    No-one but you thinks what happened to Hearts in 1904 is relevant in 2014.

    Hearts also survived as a club, they kept playing in the same league, they had the same players, they kept the same stadium, none of this happened with Rangers.
