Contrived link, but since ex-Don Billy Pirie played for the Lichties, here’s a good article about the planet’s second-best Maroons, for whom I have an affinity after providing educational support to their youth players in the early part of the century.

Just having a blether with the receptionist at work & she happened to mention that somebody called John McMaster was in the other week. Played football apparently. Canny believe I missed it.

    Ray McKinnon has heart attack.

No smart-ass, studiedly-cynical unkind words, please. We’re better than that.

    Get well soon, min.

Not good to read this. As someone of the same age who has had heart issues the past couple of years he has nothing but my good wishes.

Good for you, min. I did the same in November 2019, but at a slightly more advanced age.

Of course “wait until Spring, and winter’s sleet and darkness is past” didn’t quite go to plan. Then again, sitting on my erse reading books, and suburban flaneuring were probably as much as I was ever going to do/be able to afford, and I have embraced that lifestyle. With coffee. ****ing gallons of it, M&S strength 4.
