Don’t know anything about him but definitely an area we need cover. Gives Grimshaw the opportunity to play at RB with sheep as cover.

Grimshaw is a pretty solid right back, seems to do a good job there and is energetic at getting up the line. Centre midfield cover at this level surely isn't too hard to ask im sure Tilson will do a decent job. I trust Goodwin, seems to have recruited very well so far when he's been in control of signings although doing it on a limited budget.

Happy enough with that but sad in a way that we're using players who cannae get a game for Ross County. Imagine if you'd said that 20/30/40 years ago, you would have scarce believed it.

And Tilson is yet another midfielder. Where are all the goal scorers/strikers/cente forwards/No 9's these days? They're like hens' teeth. Is modern youth shying away from responsibility? Choosing the comfort of the midfield rather than the strain of putting their heads on the block & being responsible for scoring goals.

I'm always surprised we don't have any defensive MIDs to cover in the youths, main attributes, even more than tackling I'd say, are to read the game and mark the space from the opposition, and be decent technically with both feet. Would have thought that would be easier to produce than attacking attributes. Is a bit frustrating the injuries to docherty/sibbald, hope it's not going to be a recurring theme throughout the season, and that this is pretty much it.

Exactly what i said in the work motor today mate when i heard about the signing."Oh how the mighty have fallen." was the phrase i used.

Well, we definitely fell last season hence the reason we're doing things like this.

I can understand why folk might say that GB but if we had signed Gallagher and Holt instead of Mulgrew and Ayina, Docherty instead of Harkes (extension) and Moult instead of Fletcher imo we would still be playing Premiership football even with a duff keeper.
A decent keeper added and that lot would have been mid table.

Reason I add Fletcher in there is that too often defenders and midfielders saw a long high ball to him as the easy way out.
We're playing better football now with so called lesser players.

Yeah but we're at a lower level so I think it's actually quite hard to judge if any of them would have cut the mustard in the Premiership. I disagree with your point about the keeper, I think that's the one thing which was pivitol to our relegation. Different keeper and we wouldn't have been relegated.
