I am.
Of all the players that left during the summer he's the one that most fans wanted to retain the most and think would be very useful to have this season and make a real impact. Especially with the injuries to Thomas and Roberts.
Although he hasn't got a dedicated thread fast approaching 200 posts like young Mr Osborne
I'd guess around that figure too, maybe more. That's a lot of money for a NL player and now he's still sat on the subs bench getting splinters whilst earning a tidy sum each week.
Just been bought from Fylde by Buxton FC for an undisclosed fee.
Noticed this on their site as well:
One of the Vanarama National League's most experienced strikers, Scott Boden, has signed for Buxton from York City. He is set to be with the Bucks at least until the end of next season.
Scott, 32, stepped out on his career at Sheffield United before playing in the Finnish Premier Division. On his return to England he joined Chesterfield and made 104 appearances, then a further 58 in a second spell with the Spireites, which saw him score 23 goals. Other clubs have included Macclesfield Town and Alfreton Town, both on loan.
Director of football David Brindley said: "Scott is just what we need to help convert the chances we're creating into goals and league points. I feel sure he'll quickly become a favourite with our fans."
Players careers take twists and turns. Langstaff was released by York less than 2 seasons ago. I am sure they are saying the same. He could have done a job for Notts and he was offered a contract and turned it down. I wonder what his contract at Buxton looks like compared to the one Notts offered him.
