I think we will struggle to make the play offs. We aren't strong enough in the critical positions, strikers, defence and keepers.

Well not even the first weekend done and I think I am slightly more negative than I was before the matches started. I am just amazed how many are so positive after yesterday.

Can we just fast forward to September and start getting the full tirades in and start calling for everyone to be sacked. All this positivity is unsettling and not used to it.

I think there are at least 13 clubs, say Norwich, Burnley, Blackburn, Watford, West Brom, Boro, Sheff Utd, QPR, Millwall, Stoke, Swansea, Cardiff, Preston all of whom have top 6 at least aspirations, possibly more. The problem is I don’t see much difference between any of them and over 50% of them will not be in the top 6.

We have the ridiculous situation of the window not closing for several weeks. Some clubs such as Boro should improve as they now have money to spend. The rest of us will all be chasing the same loan players not needed for the PL sides. Whoever gets the gems from that source will have a better chance.

But for me our squad isn’t good enough. No one will convince me that Button, Furlong, Townsend, Livermore, Molumby, Phillips, Grant, thats 7 of yesterdays starters are good enough to be automatic names on the team sheet. The fringe players such as Robinson, Reach, Zahore, Bartley are even worse than the team that started.

Obviously the shining lights are Swift (brilliant), Wallace, Dike and Yokoslu but I bet they are sitting at home wondering what the hell have they got themselves into.

I think we will be competitive because as I say not a lot between most of the sides, and we will keep in games, but after that? Thankfully even I don’t see us going down, although…………

Good to see Norwich losing as I am sure they will be up near the top. I watched the highlights and both Sawyers and Kipre played well for Cardiff. I wouldn't have wanted to keep Sawyers but not so sure about Kipre.
