Hmm, shrewd, perceptive (think that's what you meant, although "perceptible" might be more accurate), not sure what about the statement satisfies the definition, of those two terms, as there is little or no evidence available to show that the investment arm of the 49-ers are anything other than owners, as opposed to "being in charge". They have appointed what I'll call "consultants" (one of whom at least is a familiar face to Farke) to advise on recruitment and as yet we have little or no evidence that they are contributing any more to the building of a new side than Orta did in creating the one we have (or had!). As for the assertion that there "is clearly lots going on behind the E scenes", that's neither perceptive, shrewd nor cognizant as no-one knows just what is going on at ER because for whatever reason our new owners appear to prefer to keep the fans in the dark.
No-one expects the finer details to be exposed to the light of day until matters are at the point of conclusion, but the deafening silence from the hierarchy at ER (with the commendable exception of Daniel Farke) doesn't speak well for a new start for LUFC under a new owner. Nature hates a vacuum, and the empty space left by the lack of any communication/engagement with the fans will be filled with rumour and innuendo, none of which is helpful in present circumstances.
The statement isn't surprising given the source, but as insightful as a presidential election campaign speech by Donald Trump.
You're in the same boat as the rest of us m8, the club haven't said much about anything since the takeover was confirmed, no mention of process, timescales, priorities, response to the various release clauses that have hit us, nothing, so we must remain in the dark I guess
I'm Spartacus.
Many thanks to MT for the link posted in the prediction thread, the press conference is most informative, even if the answers to the questions aren't exactly as clear as we might like.

I have the greatest respect for Farke, he is the only person from the club who has the spine and the honesty to come to face the press whilst at the same time trying to produce a competitive team from a squad that diminishes by the day. I know he hasn't had much opportunity to show his worth yet, but no matter what, he doesn't deserve this kind of treatment by the club.
For all those who think that the 49-ers as new owners is a good thing, read the comments that are posted throughout the presser, not many positives to be taken.
Felt an urge to comment tonight as i've been in Leeds on business of late and like everyone have been following developments around ER.
Obviously i still read the forum but certainly am not in agreement with all opinions expressed of late.
The spin suggests we've now people in who can actually pull the financial strings (aka Marathe and Cline Thomas) - both thrive under pressure, apparently.
They'll trust their judgments to evaluate a situation and will act decisively, hopefully now saving us all the mental stress which obviously conveys well with Farke's football philosophy.
Everything that the Rads PL regime lacked.
For older fans similarities of our past chairmen traits of Reynolds, Morris, Woodward, Cussins, Silver & Fotherby spring to mind.
In this respect we as Leeds fans hold a special position again because we are the cynosure of all eyes at all times.
One would hope the current Board now know that and can deliver more positivity going forward.
So more positives through my eyes and ears now that i've been in town talking and listening to folks.
