    Crikey Alf are you celebrating the fact that he is a great drunk?
    He is an alcoholic with serious problems of an addictive nature, like most celebrity alcoholics, like him, George Best, Oliver Reid, Amy Winehouse, Gazza etc they are seen by people like you to be heroes and a great laugh as they are always drinking.
    The truth of the matter is they are sad and depressed and THAT is why they drink.
    It's not unusual for alcoholics to defecate themselves in their drunken stupors, but that said Shane MacGowan is a "great drunk"

    Wooo controversial there Les, but its probably right what your saying. I dont know why the Fairytale of New York is so popular with people, I never really rated it because MacGowan sounds so appalling. And Stop the cavalry by Jonah Lewie gets on my nerves as well.
