Players don't need to be international standard

I dont think it has yet been finalised, but players need a Governing Body Endorsement
The GBE will operate a points-based system, where points are scored for senior and talented young players based on:
*Senior and youth international appearances
*Quality of the selling club, based on the league they are in, league position and progression in continental competition
*Club appearances, based on domestic league and continental competition minutes
One thing is that you cant sign U18's
Grist - just add, a local cricket club overseas pro needs to be first class standard to get a working visa. It rules out all the Aus, NZ and SA Grade and club players that used to come over.
If you can get here on a holiday visa you wont be able the register with the league as an overseas player to play or cannot be paid to coach.
Unfortunately for Ben Joe Mattock was considered to be the first choice left back.
I don't blame Ben Purrington for wanting to move on, he wanted first team football and wasn't getting it.
His value has increased since he signed for Charlton.
Next left back ought to be on loan with a chance of signing him at the end of the season, we don't know yet what League we will be in yet.
I agree with Silly.
We need to be signing someone who can potentially replace Joe Mattock not be his understudy, Joes fantastic on his day but always prone to throwing a sicky (injury)
Purrington has been the scapegoat amongst Charlton fans for a good year or so now. They seem to want rid. He never dislodged Mattock because he wasn't that good
If it was true that the Millers were looking at Greg Leigh, before he signed on a short deal with Aberdeen, someone said Leigh only played four games for Aberdeen, was not in team or a sub last match at the weekend, it could be he was brought in as cover, & not got that many games.
Nothing for us to lose, no fee, end of season contract, if he makes the grade, & the coaches rate him, give him a further contract .
