that night game at easter 74 was the night they were all on the kop 2 hours before kick off 10k of them nowt you can do about that but the games in 70 and 71 they got hammered both times trying to get round to the kop from lane end we too were on that big terrace down side in cup game 68 and it also broke my heart when mick jones went there in 67 mind could have been worse revie wanted jones and birchenall but wraggy wouldnt allow it even though sherman went to chelsea 2 months later

Those were the days eh Shoreham,Man U did the same i remember............cops just let em,er were ther any cops in them days

the years between 71 and 73 saw unbelievable scenes on the kop police just couldnt handle it im afraid chelsea man city and newcastle games all spring to mind manure was a different kettle of fish they used to bring 20k lol

Remember Newcastle game. One of the lads we were with got arrested 2 minutes after walking onto the Kop. They piled up the steps at the back and straight into us. They were all p*ssed up. One or two of them walked up to us at half time at the back trying to be friendly and then pulled out a small hammer from inside their Crombie pockets.

Also Millwall in the late 60's and West Ham around 73/74 when the Plod were conspicuous by their absence. They only brought small numbers onto the Kop but they were determined to stay there. West Ham fans followed us after the game into Pond Street bus station.

It was so easy then to get on other Kops. We did it regularly, even when Man U played Spurs ( Charlton wonder goal) after our game at Stoke was called off.

Think 20 k 's a bit of an exaggeration. Maybe you're thinking the time they took the whole of Hillsborough apart from a few sections.

You took the Kop at 5 o`clock you Dirty Leeds Basterds,that was sung to them at the game TC came back to the Lane with them

the millwall game was in sept 68 i think 100 sarf lonndon dockers on the kop chucking razor blades in to us loads taken out with cuts then they charged down john street after game as for manure there was that many of em on boxing day 66 and i was in pigs south stand in 74 when they had fans all over ground and completly took wendys kop only time ive seen a police horse on the terraces
