I sincerely hope that your right and up until last week I shared your optimism...but jeeze a week is a long time in football as they say. I tend to think that relegation or play off is now a very strong possibility. We are currently the whipping boys who everyone else want to play.

That's a bold claim given how we've been playing and the unfit, directionless mess the squad is in. Losing becomes a very bad habit that is very hard to get out of and we're getting pretty good at it with no signs of a change in fortunes any time soon. Just look at Hibs last season - there are similarities between them and us of this season and look what happened to them. If I was a betting man I would be sticking a large wad of cash on us losing to 'The Rangers' in the relegation playoffs because I think that's a very, very likely scenario.

All the predictions of relegation are based on our dreadful run of recent form. We are only 8 games in. My statement is based on the fact that I believe we are better "over the season" than the teams we will be fighting with. If I am wrong, then I will be the first to say I got it wrong.

McCalls interviews are starting to sound like the days of Malpas blame this blame that I blame the $hite of a pre season whoever sat down and planned that out should be sacked on the spot.

Re the pre season. Agree entirely. I think that's where our on field problems started. Not fit enough to start the league campaign in my opinion and now it's festering. Low on confidence and struggling big time.

You'll be telling us next that after the worst pre season preparation imaginable you travelled to the St.Mirren game, confident of a top 6 finish!

I will support you bheron as i also feel we will not be relegated and heres why.
This is basically the same team as last season when finished 2nd so dont see how we can become so bad all of a sudden long term we are crap currently but expect to improve as season goes on. When your having a bad run everything goes against you as in dodgy pens given against you,no pens given in your favour,wrongful sending off.posts get hit,bars get hit in other words you get no luck whatsoever. Now i know you make your own luck and these are not excuses just facts and we are where we deserve to be currently but i dont see it carrying on like this for 38 games we need a break and hopefully its soon but the team is lacking confidence and every mistake is being punished and they need to try harder and if they do the breaks will come.

It is more or less the same team as last season but if we are honest we were extremely lucky to finish where we did last season as we turned in some absolutely dire displays throughout and got by scraping one goal wins by the skin of our teeth on several occasions.

This season that luck has so far not been with us but you have to also take into account that most other sides freshened up and strengthened their squads over the summer whilst we stood still and had what could only be described as a shambles of a pre season. A 'team building' exercise abroad which a great deal of evidence exists to suggest that it was a nice wee jolly abroad to Portugal, funded by the club whilst others were preparing properly by playing pre season friendlies and training etc. Then we go into the Europa match in mid July completely and utterly unfit and underprepared and look what happened.

Now two months into the season, we STILL look off the pace lacking match sharpness and appear to be heading in onl
