    Like alf I have never been interested in the Premier League as it has sucked the life out of our game, England ? I gave up on them years ago.

    After Thursday's performance all the team should wear the # 4 shirt as that is what it was, and usually is.

    New Zealand lose a friendly to Japan 2-1 and Chris scores.

    On Friday morning we were out on a bike tour in Slovenia and had no idea of the result of the previous night's game, so I asked the two Slovenian guides if they knew the result. Both of them just shrugged, they'd no idea and were completely disinterested. One of them checked his mobile and found the result for me, but I was surprised that two young Slovenians had no interest in their team facing the mighty England.
