to me....first half, the Arse Wenkers looked relaxed, they let us run our legs off to no end - we never made anything of note to stress Chec - second half they slowly wound it up....but with our resilient defence to the rescue, did nothing to stress Pope.
Bringing Wood on (78mins) only signaled desperation imo - as we fell into playing the hoof ball - one instance when the ball was sent up for him , and he chased and won it - as a commontator noted.....there was no one following, he was on his own.
We can allow the majority of possession to the poorer teams....because they won't have the quality of finish - the Gunners do, so you'll be defending to the max, and odds are that you'll be extremely lucky to see the game out without cracking.....that's just the risky game we play.

Don't know how that's Bollox.
Its exactly the way it was.
As I had previously said.
All the comments about great play first half; hitting post; running the game--all true but we stopped doing that in the second half and my comments centered on the second half.
Hoof ball; woods and barns so obvious it defines continuation against good sides.
Where was Arfield?
Westwood. Not a Prem player; hardly a Championship player--and that's all we have got as sub in the middle until Marney is fit.
Pressure on places? Give me a break.
Go watch the deadwoods if you dont like it BH
Ashley Westwood has played 138 times in the English Premier League which sort of suggests he is a Premier League quality player.
Not once did we resort to "Hoofball" against Arsenal nor have we done at all this season.
Unless you are sat with blinkers on you will see a genuine effort to pass the ball through midfield with Gudmundsson, Brady, Cork, Defour and Hendrick all constantly passing and retaining the ball.
Going 4-4-2 was a genuine attempt by Dyche to actually win the game and not sit back and hope for a draw.
Playing against genuine quality opposition who have played God knows how many Champions League games and finished in the top four about a hundred times lays down a fairly serious challenge IMHO.
A dubious penalty and an afternoon of inconsistent refereeing decisions that were so heavily stacked in the visitors favour, does little to dampen my enthusiasm for the progress Dyche and the lads are making.
