Genuinely hope it works for Barnsley
You really think that's going to wash with us Grist ?
There isn't enough money around the tarn to support £45 match tickets or £1500 season tickets .
From what we gather most of the investment will be in to the academy , there won't be any £20m strikers arriving from Benfica .
The academy will be upgraded to the highest level and we will grow from there , Hecky may have a bob or two in January to try and keep us up but that's all .
If we can sustain championship football and start to keep our better players then that will do for me .
We've had to attract new owners , we didn't have a choice sadly , this isn't the club selling out as we see at other clubs , there wasn't a choice to be made and this deal is possibly the best one we could have attracted .
Genuinely hope it works for Barnsley
Not sure Grist to be honest at this stage , bought us for £20m which is nothing these days and one level below the PL , we have a good model of finding talent , perhaps they believe they can have us challenging the top end of the championship if we can keep our talent at the club .
Other than that I couldn't really say .
That would be the perfect mix, bringing the Hull family on board but unless TS went 50/50 on it, why should any one want to put money into a club, where they had no say in the running at all.Come on TS,it's pretty obvious cash input is necessary at this club and a proper structure.
Only at Barnsley Football Club could you have new owners with a combined wealth of around £8bn and want to concentrate on the youth system .......:-) :-) :-) :-)
