Thread: World cup squad

  1. #11
I’m happy that none of our players have been picked. They have had a tough season and time to chill with their families

They can come back pre season fully refreshed instead of getting embarrassed in Russia. No time for England if they were playing in my back garden I would draw the blinds.

It defies belief how Southgate thinks this group of plodders can have any success in the tournament. Is he going to park the bus for the 3 games England will play?

You would have thought that the long succession of failure would inspire him to at least have a go.

How can anyone look forward to the WC with any excitment now?

Lets not forget there had been £125m spent on the team two months prior to his arrival and he spent £50m on Tosun and Walcott in January. If he hadn't managed it it would have been a tremendous failure.

He takes teams on with plenty of games in the bank to turn things around. Remember Sland 28 games and only just managed it with a game to go and a transfer window. Wouldnt have took it on in Rafa's situation ie 12 games left. Too much of a gamble if there was an inkling that they would be relegated so not to blemish his relegation record. Such a fantastic thing to shout about along with his one match in charge of Engerland before personally fecking it up. As has been said a fantastic 6 months pay for very little really. Horrible 'dodgy' bstd.

Its alright Kingston! Called my missus my ex's name once. Mistakes (painful in my case) happen.

I'd have had Shelvey, Sessegnon and fkn anyone but Welbeck for those 3. Glenn Murray, Callum Wilson - you know, a wildcard, someone who is grateful to be there and would walk on hot coals.

Anyway. Dont care anyway. Will be in France during the WC so will support them instead. Was there during the last WC and was amazed how little they gave a toss about it.

Smalling i can understand the omission as the way he plays isn't the way Southgate does.

But Shelvey not even on the reserves list.

I think that is a terrible call, we have nobody that can change a game.

Even worse is the injury prone Lallana is on the reserves. If he's needed because of other injuries then we're ****ed, only started 14 games this season.

I'd like to think that because this won't finish badly but it'll finish in disaster that Southgate will disappear from sight and even struggle to get a managerial job.
